Updated over a week ago

Step 1: Setup your Stream

Insert your Ethernet cable into the LAN port on the backside of your Stream. Make sure your Stream is powered off, when inserting the Ethernet cable.

Step 2: Boot up your Stream

Power on your Stream, by inserting the Power Supply Cable into the Stream. Your Stream will now boot up.

Step 3: Verify network connection

The Stream must be connected to the local network and assigned a valid IP address. To verify, press and hold "PAUSE/PLAY" + "โ–ถ" buttons for 7 seconds. If the Stream has an IP address, it is succesfully connected to the local network.

Step 4: Add Stream to Spottune Cloud

Log into your Spottune Cloud HQ, and add the Stream to the desired location. Read our article on How to add a Stream to the Cloud HQ.

Step 5: Verify Internet Connection

Check the connection indicator on the Location, to verify internet connection.

  • Online Stream: If the indicator is green, your Stream is online, and has successfully connected to the internet.

  • Offline Stream: If the indicator is red, your Stream is offline, and is not connected to the internet. Keep reading to solve your offline Stream Issue.

Check firewall and network settings

  • The router must provide a valid DNS server to connected devices.

  • The following firewall ports must be open:

    • TCP/80

    • TCP/443

    • TCP/1883

    • TCP/8883

    • UDP/123

  • Re-boot Stream

    • Power off the Stream by removing the PSU cable, wait 10 seconds and insert the PSU cable again to power on the Stream again. Make sure not to remove the Ethernet Cable during this process.
