Spottune and EVAC – Integration Options

In certain projects, Spottune may need to work alongside an EVAC (Emergency Voice Alarm Communication) system. This guide shows you how to integrate your Spottune system with your EVAC system.

Updated over a week ago

⚠️ Important: The Spottune System is not certified as an EVAC system. However, it can be integrated with EVAC (Emergency Voice Alarm Communication) systems in different ways to ensure announcements and emergency signals take priority over audio playback.

Option 1 – EVAC via “MIC IN” input

  • Spottune Stream has a prioritized 3.5mm stereo line input called MIC IN.

  • When audio is received on this input, all other activities are automatically paused/muted.

  • Once the EVAC activity ends, Spottune resumes normal playback.

  • By connecting the EVAC system to MIC IN, all announcements will get priority and pass through seamlessly.

Option 2 – EVAC controlled power outlet

  • If the Spottune Stream is powered from an EVAC controlled outlet, it will automatically turn off when the EVAC system cuts power during an emergency.

  • When power is restored, the Spottune Stream restarts and resumes playback automatically.

Option 3 – EVAC controlled phase switch in power tracks

  • In a 3-phase track system, one phase can be connected via the EVAC system.

  • During an emergency, the EVAC system cuts power to that phase, turning off all Spottune Omni Track speakers connected to it.

  • When power is restored, the Omni Tracks automatically start up and resume playback.

✅ These integration options allow Spottune to be combined with EVAC systems so that emergency messages always override or disable normal playback.
