Your Omni's Antenna

The wireless antenna inside the Spottune Omni is what connects the speaker to the Spottune Stream. It is fully integrated into the design, but correct placement and direction of the Speaker ensures the antenna performs at its best.

Where the Antenna is Located

  • The antenna is built into the top side of the Omni speaker. It is located underneath the Spottune Logo Side of the Speaker. Use the Omni buttons as a guide, and make sure the buttons are always facing away from the Stream - This way the Antenna is facing in the right direction.

  • It is invisible from the outside, keeping the design clean while still delivering stable wireless performance.

How the Antenna Works

  • The antenna receives the audio signal via DECT wireless technology (1.8–1.9 GHz) from the Spottune Stream.

  • DECT ensures reliable coverage and synchronized playback without interference from crowded Wi-Fi or Bluetooth networks.

  • Each Omni automatically pairs with the Stream through this antenna, so very little manual setup is required.

Best Practices for Antenna Performance

  • Keep the Omni in open space – avoid installing it inside metal housings, false ceilings with dense structures, or close to server racks.

  • Antenna Direction – Always face the Antenna in the direction of the Spottune Stream, to ensure best possible connection.

🧠Pro tip: Sometimes it is hard to identify which way the antenna is facing, when the Omni is installed already. Use the Omni Buttons as a guide for correct placement - If the buttons are facing away from the Stream, the Antenna is facing in the right direction

  • Use central placement of the Spottune Stream so that all antennas can receive a stable signal.

  • One Stream per floor is recommended in multi-level buildings, as the antenna signal is optimized for same-floor coverage.

  • Check for other DECT devices (such as cordless phones or baby monitors), as these can sometimes affect connection performance.
