How to Check and Improve Omni Speaker Signal Strength

You can monitor the connection quality between your Spottune Stream and each Omni speaker in real time via the Control App / Spottune Cloud

Step-by-Step Guide: Monitoring Signal Strength

Step 1: Open the Spottune Control App or Spottune Cloud

Log in and navigate to the view that shows individual Omni speakers and their signal icons.

  • Control App:

    1. ADD

  • Cloud:

    1. Landing page

    2. Click the desired Stream

    3. Expand the Zones

    4. Check Signal now visible

Step 2: Check Signal Icon Color
The connection quality is represented by colored transmission icons next to each speaker.

Signal Strength Indicators:

  • Green (Excellent) – Strong, stable connection

  • Yellow (Good / Fair) – Acceptable, but not optimal connection

  • Orange (Weak) – Connection is weak; needs attention

  • Red (Disconnected) – No connection detected

Step 3: Interpreting the Signal Colors

  • Green – No action needed; the speaker is working optimally.

  • Yellow – Consider minor adjustments to improve stability.

  • Orange – Connection is weak. Apply the tips below.

  • Red – Speaker is offline; follow troubleshooting steps INSERT LINK.


Quick Fixes for Weak or Disconnected Signals

  • Face the speaker’s antenna side toward the Stream
    The “antenna side” is identified by the 'Spottune Omni' logo on the top of the speaker.

  • Adjust speaker placement
    Try moving the Omni speaker closer to the Spottune Stream.

  • Relocate the Stream for better coverage
    Place the Stream centrally within the coverage area to improve connectivity.
